TURIN, Italy: Former Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata came back to haunt his old club as he sent Juventus on their way to a 2-1 victory over the holders in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final early this morning.

Morata, who moved to Juventus in the offseason shortly after helping Madrid to a record 10th European Cup title, didn’t celebrate after scoring the opening goal in the ninth minute.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the competition’s all-time top scorer with Madrid’s equaliser in the 27th minute but his former Manchester United teammate Carlos Tevez also continued his fantastic season as he restored Juventus’ lead from the spot shortly before the hour after being brought down by Dani Carvajal.

Juventus, who last won the competition 19 years ago, will continue their bid to reach their first final since 2003 in the return leg in Madrid on May 13.

Backed by a passionate home crowd, the newly-crowned Italian champions had the better of a frantic opening period.

The fans bayed for a penalty in the opening minute when Arturo Vidal fell between two Madrid players and Morata also went close.

The Spaniard did get his goal moments later. Claudio Marchisio slotted the ball through to Tevez and, although Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas got a hand to the Argentine’s shot, he only succeeded in deflecting the ball to Morata, who tapped in from close range.

That was Juve’s fourth shot on target in the opening nine minutes but it was to prove its last on goal of the first half as Madrid slowly got into the game.

Toni Kroos almost levelled immediately but Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon dived smartly to his right to turn the shot around his post.

Ronaldo had been kept fairly quiet apart from an early free kick which came off a Juventus defender in the wall. But he also went close to the equalizer when he sprung the offside trap to run onto a through-ball from Francisco "Isco" Alarcon but could only send his effort wide of the right upright.

However, Ronaldo did level minutes later, heading into an empty net from close range after James Rodriguez hooked in a cross from the right of the penalty area. It was the Portugal star’s 76th goal in the competition – one more than Lionel Messi, whose Barcelona side hosts Bayern Munich in the other semifinal on Wednesday.

Rodriguez almost got on the scoresheet himself four minutes from halftime but he headed Alarcon’s cross off the bar from five yards out and Marcelo volleyed the rebound narrowly over the bar.

Chaussure Lebron 13 Lightning look to close out Canadiens in Montreal

The Tampa Bay Lightning are 5 for 5 this year in Montreal. Now they need one more road win against the Canadiens.

The Lightning had a chance to sweep the Canadiens on Thursday night, but goaltender Ben Bishop was pulled in the second period of Montreal’s 6-2 victory. Now the second-round series is headed back to Canada for Game 5 tonight (NBCSN, 7 p.m. EDT).

Tampa Bay has won each of its five games in Montreal in 2015, outscoring the Canadiens 18-8 in Bell Centre. It scored eight of the 11 goals in Chaussure Lebron 13 the first two games of the series at Montreal.

”We’ve had some success in their building and we played well there in the regular season, too,” Lightning forward Ryan Callahan said Friday. ”I think we’re comfortable going in there.”

Montreal had six different goal scorers in its first win in nine games this season against Tampa Bay. It had struggled to score against the 6-foot-7 Bishop, who stopped 100 of 104 shots through the first three games of the series.

”We get as much pressure as we can on him and go to the net, score some goals, shoot a lot of pucks at him and it will pay off eventually,” center Tomas Plekanec said.

Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper lifted Bishop after David Desharnais’ shot skipped off the goaltender’s glove and into the net for the 5-7 forward’s first goal of the playoffs. Bishop finished with 11 saves.

The Lightning still have a commanding 3-1 lead in the series, but a couple of the games could have gone either way. They won 2-1 in double-overtime in Game 1, and grabbed another 2-1 victory on Tyler Johnson’s goal with 1.1 seconds remaining Wednesday night.

”We have to get back to our speed game, our transition game,” Callahan said. ”I think we’re at our best when we move the puck up the ice and attack the other team. There hasn’t been enough of that the last couple games.”

Cooper said he is confident his team will bounce back from the Game 4 loss.

”We have to put our best foot forward,” he said. ”Both teams know each other well, we just have to execute. We are a confident group. We have proven we can rebound from disappointing games.”

The Canadiens won their first three games of the playoffs against Ottawa, and then dropped their next two before eliminating the Senators with a 2-0 victory in Game 6 on April 26.

”It’s always a comfortable lead when you’re up by three, but on the other hand you’ve got to understand momentum can Nike Flyknit Roshe Run Zapatos change quick,” Montreal coach Michel Therrien said. ”Momentum in hockey changes quick and breaks change quick.”

Nike Mercurial Vapor X CR Was keeping Andre Ethier L.A.’s best offseason move

by Joe Lucia

This winter, the Los Angeles Dodgers were a busy team. Headed by the new brain trust of Andrew Friedman and Farhan Zaidi, Los Angeles dumped Dee Gordon, Dan Haren and Matt Kemp (among others) in trades, bringing back Yasmani Grandal, Howie Kendrick and Jimmy Rollins in three separate trades. The team also hoarded a plethora of arms to bolster their bullpen and add some rotation depth, which are Kyrie 1 GS both looking like brilliant moves given the injuries suffered by the Dodgers’ pitching staff in 2015.

But while all of those transactions are having quite an impact on the Dodgers this season, the best move the team may have made this winter was one they *didn’t* make – keeping outfielder Andre Ethier.

The Dodgers wanted to trade Ethier. He turned 33 in April. He was coming off of a 2014 season in which he hit .249/.322/.370 with just four home runs over 130 games. He was still due $54.5 million from 2015-17. But the Dodgers couldn’t find a taker, and they were stuck with Ethier going into Spring Training. On paper, he looked like the team’s sixthbest outfielder behind Yasiel Puig, Carl Crawford, Joc Pederson, Scott Van Slyke, and Chris Heisey. It was going to be tough for Ethier to earn any sort of significant playing time in 2015 with the Dodgers.

Naturally, attrition has given Ethier a spot in the lineup. Puig has played in just 11 games while dealing with a hamstring injury, and an oblique has landed Crawford on the DL after only15 games. Heisey has spent the year (minus one game) with AAA Oklahoma City. Ethier has thrived in his role this season, matching his 2014 home run total in 300 fewer plate appearances and hitting an excellent .292/.390/.554. Ethier has always had strong Nike Mercurial Vapor X CR platoon splits, and he’s continued that success against righties going into 2015, hitting .283/.406/.585 over 64 plate appearances.

The injuries that the Dodgers have suffered have given Ethier an opportunity to play every day, and he’s taken advantage of it. But he’s not the only one – Van Slyke and Alex Guerrero are also thriving. Van Slyke has gotten eight starts in the outfield, and has hit .333/.400/.513 over 45 plate appearances. Guerrero wasn’t even in the conversation for a roster spot this spring, but in 17 games and 39 plate appearances, he’s launched five homers while hitting .333/.359/.806 and playing at both third base and left field.

If the Dodgers ended up moving Ethier this winter, they likely wouldn’t have gotten much of a return and would have probably eaten the vast majority of his contract. They’d be looking at a situation right now with two of Van Slyke, Guerrero and Heisey flanking the rookie Pederson in the outfield. But they kept Ethier, and haven’t lost a beat despite losing two-thirds of their starting outfield. Sometimes, it’s better to be lucky than good, and the Dodgers are extremely lucky that no time was interested in Ethier this winter.

zapatillas de Adidas Real Madrid to Offer Gareth Bale in return for Eden Hazard-

As deals go it’s not the most ludicrous going although I can’t remember the last time a straight player for player swap happened, although do enlighten me below if you do! According to the Sun it seems that Real Madrid have made the enquiry and proposal to offload Bale in exchange for the newly crowned PFA Player of the Year. The claim is that Real have not made the offer formal but are simply sounding-out Chelsea to see if they are responsive to the idea.

Hazard signed a new long-term deal with the Stamford Bridge club earlier in the season and Mourinho may consider the deal loaded in Real’s favour given he previously considered Hazard to be worth £100m and one of Real’s best three players.

Bale has been heavily linked with Manchester United with swap deals being mooted in regard to a possible move for David De Gea but it is suggested in the report that Real are not interested in player plus cash deals and are only entertaining like-for-like swap deals.

The Real club president last month spoke up to dismiss talk of a move for Bale in the summer saying to Marca: "We would never listen to any offers for Bale no matter what the bid was.

"He is a unique player who has already given so much to the team.

"He is the key to the club’s future, just like I cannot imagine a future without Cristiano Ronaldo."

The question of a move to Real was addressed to Eden Hazard at the PFA awards event to which Hazard replied simply “No, Im staying.”

Hazard Supra Atom arrived from zapatillas de Adidas Lille in 2012 and recently signed a further 5 and a half year deal with Chelsea.

Zapatos Lebron 12 GS A-Rod eyeing milestone vs. Red Sox- ‘I love playing at Fenway’

By Ricky Doyle

Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees arrived at Fenway Park on Friday for the start of a three-game set against the Boston Red Sox. The series is Rodriguez’s first in Boston since serving a season-long performance-enhancing drug suspension last season, and A-Rod comes to town one home run shy of tying Willie Mays (660) for fourth on Major League Baseball’s all-time homer list.

“I’m excited. I love playing at Fenway,” Rodriguez told reporters after going 0-for-6 with four strikeouts Wednesday as New York lost to the Tampa Bay Rays at Yankee Stadium. “It’s a fun place to play, great fans, and obviously I have a lot of respect for everyone with the Red Sox. I’m looking forward to it.”

Rodriguez might be forced to wait a day to take aim at the Green Monster seats and home run No. 660. The 39-year-old wasn’t penciled into the Yankees’ starting lineup Friday, as New York opted for nine left-handed/switch-hitters against Red Sox starter Justin Masterson.

“My job is not to be caught up in milestones in a sense, but to be caught up with what is the best lineup you can field that day in a sense,” Yankees manager Joe Girardi said of the decision to hold Rodriguez out of Friday’s starting lineup. “He’ll wait one day. But I do want to get (the milestone) out of the way, because I think Zapatos Lebron 12 GS as much, as a player, you try not to think about it, it’s impossible. The sooner we get it out of the way, the better.”

Rodriguez, who has sapatos Nike Lebron 12 performed well this season despite missing all of 2014, enters this weekend’s series in a 5-for-37 slump that has dropped his average from .344 to .232. He last homered Sunday in a 6-4 win over the New York Mets.

“Pitch selection for me,” Girardi said of Rodriguez’s struggles. “Some of the pitches that he’s swung at, and some of the ones he’s gotten to hit he’s missed a little bit. Maybe trying to get (the milestone) out of the way.

“As much as I want to tell him to relax, that’s something he’s going to have to do to get it out of the way.”

Rodriguez is a .288 hitter with 24 homers and 76 RBIs in 119 career games at Fenway. His next blast will certainly be a memorable one, though it’s hard to imagine the Fenway Faithful greeting it with approval.
